Exciting Announcements for Farm Fest 10!

Friends, a couple of very exciting announcements for Farm Fest 10...

First, after four months of intense negotiations, three cases of Jack Daniels, a package of string cheese and a slightly used bicycle, we have secured a contract for the return of the one and only The Man In Black for a final encore appearance - back by popular demand!

After a long hiatus, the Man in Black is coming back!

Second, we are happy to announce we have sold almost 90 Farm Fest 10 t-shirts this year - (that's an all-time record, folks)!  THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

And remember, 100% of the profit from t-shirts go back to paying for the party.

My wife's 20th class reunion is next week in Texas.  We aren't able to go and I think she feels kind of bad about it.  However, on Facebook, one of her classmates posted a video of her in high school and here is a still shot of my smokin' hot wife about six years before we met.  Man, how gorgeous can a woman get?  I don't know how she made it out of Texas without a boyfriend. How did I get so lucky?  (When she sees I posted this on my blog she will file for divorce, so to my wife's family: keep in touch.  I love you guys.)

Last night I finished a surprisingly excellent autobiography, Life by Keith Richards - the lead guitarist, principal songwriter and co-founder of the Rolling Stones. I say "surprisingly excellent," because let's face it... when you hear the guy talk you can barely understand a frickin' word he says (as evidenced by the "interview" below).  Heck, Johnny Depp based his character Jack Sparrow of Pirates of the Caribbean off a character study of Richards - and Richards was such a good sport about it that he even made a cameo appearance in one of the movies.  Yes, years of drug abuse have seemingly taken their toll, but he can still think clearly and he can write very well - and yes, Richards wrote this book.  The "voice" is unmistakably Keith Richards. Funny, because I knew this memoir would be full of crazy stories of 40+ years of excess on the road with the original "bad boys" of rock and roll, and that was my main reason for buyin...
